Chatting with people at the Recurse Center is very natural, friendly and always encouraging. Sitting around, having lunch in group, making tea, random talks or meetings, you can find motivation everywhere, which is awesome!
Today I’ve continued to learn more about Functional programming following different sources. I read a book called “Introducing Functional Programming with Underscore.js” recommended by Mary Rose, it showed me the concepts of firs-class and high-order functions through underscore’s methods like map, reduce, filter or max, applying closures to reach the desired abstraction.
We’ve been talking about graphics today too, Andrew Desharnais improvised a talk about a wide range of graphics topics, from svg to how Bèzier curves are made or what’s inside of an jpeg file, pretty cool!
